Hello Cheese Lovers!
Everyone is a little giddy today, or should I say, beside ourselves? Brazos Valley Cheese won more awards yesterday at the American Cheese Society's (ACS) Annual Judging Competition!
ACS is the flagship for artisan cheese makers. The event this year is being held in Sacramento. An amazing 1,685 cheeses were entered by 248 artisan cheese makers from Canada, the United States and Mexico.
Our Smoked Gouda won 2nd place in the Smoked Cheese category.
Our Van Sormon took 3rd place in the Rubbed Rind category.
I've attached a picture of Marc and my daughter, Abigail, our lead cheese makers, holding our ribbons and beaming in Sacramento.
