Visit us at a Farmers Market near you!

Our cheeses are now available at a number of farmers markets throughout the state. Check back with us frequently, since we are adding new markets regularly.

2/13/2016 Posted by Garry Stewart, Sales Manager at Brazos Valley Cheese:

At the time of this writing, we sell our cheeses at 13 or 14 farmers markets across the state of Texas. We are working hard to provide our farmers market customers the very best possible experience. We wrap our cheese booths in lively banners with full-color pictures of our different varieties and of our underground cave chocked full of aging cheeses. We train our booth managers to give our farmers market customers lots of free cheese samples and valuable information about how we make and age our cheeses and the multiple awards we have won at the American Cheese Society's annual competition.  We also work hard to offer at each market an exclusive farmers market discount, encouraging our customers to stock up on our cheese. (After all, we want to be your exclusive cheese purveyor!)

Almost every week I hear a report about a customer somewhere around the state telling one of our market booth managers, "You are a good salesman!" which I receive as the highest compliment given that the word "salesman" does not always carry the most noble connotation. This assures me that our farmers market customers are having a great experience.

Today, while working at the Dallas Farmers Market, a customer's comment caught me off guard:

"I would tell you that you are a good salesman," she began while sampling her fourth or fifth variety of cheese and pausing for a moment.

She had my undivided attention! I wasn't sure what to make of her comment... Was she unhappy with me?

"But," she continued very deliberately while looking at the cheese sample in her hand, "THIS - CHEESE - SELLS - ITSELF!!!!"

I Iaughed. "That's it!" I replied. "What more can I say?"
